Every year since 2000, around 120,000 people have listened to Nuremberg's two major orchestras at the picnic in the parkland of Luitpoldhain. Thanks to the support of many individuals and Nuremberg companies, admission is also free in 2024. Thank you to everyone who makes music resound in Europe's greenest concert hall. Big emotions are on the programme this year. On 21 July at the family concert at 11 am with moderator Philipp Roosz. In the evening at 8 pm, it's time for the world's most famous lovers. Roland Böer, General Music Director of the Staatsphilharmonie Nürnberg, makes his debut in the Luitpoldhain with well-known and newly discovered works inspired by Romeo and Juliet. The evening will be moderated by Tobias Föhrenbach. On 3 August at 8 pm, the Nürnberger Symphoniker, with soloists Alexej Gerassimez on percussion and Martynas Levickis on accordion, will bring world-famous film music to the stage under the direction of Jonathan Darlington under the motto "All roads lead to Hollywood", moderated by Roland Kunz.
